Fall is Foliage and Harvest
Time
Driving
on country roads is a great way to discover the area and to take in the natural beauty
of the Shenandoah and the Blue Ridge but there
are more ways to see fall foliage than through a car window.
Our terrace grants panoramic and breathtaking views of the Shenandoah
valley: you'll dicover the yellows
and golds of hickory, oak's rusts and browns, tulip poplar's
lemony yellow, and the flaming reds of maples.
Fall is
also harvest time in wine country. With more than 10 wineries
nearby, the Virginia countryside is awash in interesting varietals. Most tastings and events are free or inexpensive,
making a winery day trip affordable and fun.
